In 1989 Leslie Olguin Estrada was asked by Sharon Martin Dept Head a Fox’s KTVU to cover the Mornings on Two Show. Nelson Wong Director and lighting interned me on lighting and temperature theory and after 5 years Leslie was inducted into local 706 Hollywood makeup and Hair Union under San Francisco Regional.Leslie worked along side of renowned Plastic surgeon Sheldon Kabaker and he used her to help pre and post surgery patients with Skin Care and Makeup . That led to Alta Bates and UC DAVIS burn units assisting burn victims on how to cover scarring to go in public.

She would soon be on Feature films in San Francisco Bay area through the local 706.San Francisco Opera and Ballet was also employed for many productions ... .Theatrical Makeup and Wig Styling.Leslie decided to update her skills and studied Special Effects with Marvin Westmore in North Hollywood interning on sets of feature films and shorts. Allan Apone hired Leslie for Mad City with Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta leading to working in Allan Apone’s Special effects Shop also in North Hollywood at the time.

Also, Day Spa Magazine used Leslie for many covers and ads…Leading to much more print work. Robin Williams was busy then doing many features such as Flubber, What Dreams May Come and Patch Adams.What Dreams May Come was helping apply and remove prosthetics for Todd McIntosh award winning EFX artist.1998 was also a great year as Denise Valenzuela Executive Producer for Merv Griffin and Bill Gates and Paul Allen hired Leslie to manage the Spa events/appointments on a celebrity cruise From SFO to St. Petersburg of 350 top Hollywood Actors. Leslie was also hired to do the makeup for the evening festivities on the Celebrities after a day at the Spa.Another Celebrity trip to Alaska was arranged 2000 and Leslie was called back to do the makeup for the evening Celebrity events… Living at the time in the Silicon Valley Leslie was requested by the CEO at Hewlett Packard to work on a few projects in Burbank for video Conferences.This led to many other high tech companies hiring Leslie as the lead Makeup Artist. Google /Cisco/Applied Materials/Oracle/Agilent/Workday Blackhawk Network Stanford Video and Safeway Corporate Ceo Steve Burd for over 20 years before retiring. NBA All Stars Games Leslie was hired and did makeup for Al Green , Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Shaq and Lebron James .
